Watch moment thieves in Flintshire take just seven minutes to steal pick-up truck

This is the moment thieves took just seven minutes to break into a locked car park and make off with a pick-up truck.

The incident, which happened on Manor Lane in Hawarden at 8.45pm on Friday, was caught on CCTV.

The footage shows a blue Ford Focus estate enter the car park after using a grinder to force entry.

Two men, wearing gloves and hats, then get out of the vehicle and go to the boot to get items out before approaching the van.

Meanwhile, the estate is turned around and the driver waits until the two men get the engine of the recovery truck started.

The van then follows the car off the site.

The whole incident lasted around seven minutes.

The video was posted on Facebook by mechanic, Paul Ellard, the owner of the Iveco vehicle transporter.

He said: “When I came into the yard the next morning, I noticed straight away that the fence had been forced and that the van was gone.

“We checked the CCTV, and although it was 8.45pm, it was still light, which the thieves weren’t shy about.

“They came equipped and had obviously targeted the van.”

Mr Ellard says that since he posted the video on Facebook it has been shared more than 1,000 times.
