Risque North Wales joke gives Pippa Middleton wedding day blushes

Wedding guests were left blushing after a risque speech about Bangor at Pippa Middleton’s £1m wedding.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s sister married investment banker James Matthews on Saturday in what is being regarded as the society wedding of the year.

His Best Man Justin Johannsen said in his highly publicised 10 minute speech which was described as “lewd” by The Mail newspaper: “With the wedding shadowed in secrecy, I can reveal, and wish the bride and groom a happy honeymoon in North Wales.

“At least that’s where I presume they are going as I heard Spencer [James’ Made in Chelsea star brother] saying that after the wedding, he was going to Bangor for two weeks. Enjoy the Welsh coast, guys.”

Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge famously know the North Wales coast very well.

During his three years working as a pilot at RAF Valley, Prince William undertook 156 search and rescue operations, rescuing 149 people. He was known as “Flight Lieutenant Wales” and the couple were often spotted, often with Pippa in tow around Anglesey.

They left the island in 2013.
