6 people, at least have been killed after attackers drove into civilians and stabbed people in the area of Central London.

The attack occurred shortly after 10pm last night (Saturday) when pedestrians were hit on London Bridge by a White van before the attackers continued on to Borough Market where they continued to attack.

They got out of their vans in the Borough Market area and stabbed many citizens who were there.

The Police responded quickly and arrived at the attack eight minutes after with armed response units- then challenging the three male attackers before shooting and killing them.

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley said: “Armed officers responded very quickly and bravely, confronting three male suspects who were shot and killed in Borough Market. (1)

There has been at least 48 victims from the attack who have been taken to various hospitals across the London area, some of which are serious injuries alongside less serious.

 

The Prime Minister will chair an emergency response  meeting today in Downing Street.

This event comes just less than two weeks since the Manchester Attack in which a suicide bomber struck an Ariana Grande concert, killing 22 people and injuring over 4o people.
